Author: This is live video from my friend and fellow storm chaser Mike Wilhelm from Huntsville, AL this morning where unexpected snow is falling and a Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 3PM.

Surprise Winter Storm!
What can we say? An unexpected snowfall has occurred this morning across portions of north Alabama…and winter storm warnings have been required for Lauderdale and Colbert counties where some 3″+ snow totals have already occurred! Snow is spreading east through Huntsville where some roofs and roadways are beginning to become snow covered already.
Not extremely easy to see, but on the Huntsville cam you can see massive flakes with those trees in the background and the cars slowing down. What a nice surprise for portions of North Alabama….and this just looks like a teaser compared to the end of the week.
